Weddings

Well, the big day finally came around on Saturday.  Heaven knows we’ve all been waiting patiently while Wendy’s Facebook Wedding countdown keeps ticking over on our news feeds over the last few months. (I even spotted a new one for for first anniversary! *sigh*)

Anyway, funny old day… The weather could’ve gone either way.  But the best thing was that the sun came out for the 15 minute ceremony.  And we hadn’t seen it the whole day! Would’ve been nice for it to hang around a bit longer, but hey – better than not at all.

Enjoy.  Awesome wedding.

Ashley & Rheannon Mittagong Wedding
Tears. Every wedding has them. Usually it's Dad when he sees his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress, other times it's the vows, and often it's the hilarious best man speeches at the reception (I'm talking crying from laughter too...)  But with every wedding, at some stage, you can pretty much guarantee there'll be tears.  And that's what I love about this gig - the beautiful raw outpouring of emotion. When Rheannon, a brilliant wedding florist from Coogee got in touch with me, (rlfd.com.au if you're looking for an amazing, passionate florist!)  and said "Tim, I'm going all out, it's gonna be EPIC", I knew this could well be ...

Rick & Erin Kangaroo Valley
Rick & Erin's epic day. Epic really only tells half the story - this was a day that had everything. On a beautiful cool winter's day in the Kangaroo Valley, about 2 hours west of Sydney, Rick & Ez shared a day to remember. So many highlights... Some of the funniest vows I've ever heard (including a mic drop!), their dog LJ as ring bearer, (he even barked on cue during the kiss!) and that's without even mentioning the HILARIOUS speeches from his brothers and mates, topped off finally by a shoey from Ez's shoe before the cake cutting. 10/10. Rick & Ez are good friends of mine, and to be invited to be a part of their day is a spe ...

Chris & Amy Pier One Sydney
I got the callout to shoot Chris & Amy's beautiful wedding not long before our move to Brisbane. Unfortunately we didn't really get a chance to catch up for beer/coffee before the big day - which goes against my standard operating procedure big time. It's just such a personal thing, wedding photography. You're there for all the important moments - usually almost always one of the first to see you in your dress, hanging out with your closest friends, you seeing your Dad for the first time (which always ends in tears!) and you're basically with the bridal party the whole day. This wasn't a drama with Amy & Chris - two of the nicest ...
