White Night, Melbourne ’14

Events Personal

So I’ve been down here in Melbourne for pretty much the whole month of February working on the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Yeah, I know – Sochi, but from Melbourne. Hmmm… Well, I was working for Channel Ten (I’m an editor/director/vfx artist too) doing all of the music pieces you might see going to the commercial breaks etc.

Aaaaanyway, a lovely friend I met down here – Sharon, insisted on taking me to White Night – an all night light festival similar to Sydney’s Vivid festival. I’m glad she did, we had the best night! And props must go to Melbourne, for opening the National Gallery of Victoria for the whole night – until 7am. There’s definitely something pretty cool about visiting an art gallery at 3am. 🙂

Christening Matilda Bluebelle Munt…
The other day, one of my beautiful friends held a Christening for her daughter Matilda.  She's a total peach, and of course I was smitten within the first 30 seconds of meeting her at her at the hospital... Seeing her already grown up to this age though, it's easy to see some of her Mum's personality starting to shine through in Matildas'. They make a fantastic little family, and it was awesome part of their special day, both as friend and photographer.
Carina – sports fashion
Something a bit different. Carina put the call out for a sports modelling shoot, and - as it turns out, we're practically neighbours! As in, she lives on the floor above me in my apartment building. Hoping we'll do a few more shoots. Maybe the building laundry next? ;)
Random guitar god, Pitt Street mall
Random Spanish/Hungarian guitar virtuoso from Tasmania with some pretty sweet moves swooning a pretty sizeable audience down Pitt Street. His name is Tom Ward, and it's fair to say, he *can* play. Had to take pictures of it. Fans of Australia's Got Talent may have seen him before...
