A couple of nights ago I was invited to shoot a rather special event at Slide, in Surry Hills. When my friend Debra mentioned the words "8 course degustation with matching opera performances with some of the leading opera singers in Australia, hosted by the very funny Dan Ilic", well - this wasn't one I was gonna miss. Not to mention the excellent cause for such an event - raising money towards a clinical trial that hopefully will get us closer to finding a cure of this rare, devastating and untreatable children's disease. So I've been down here in Melbourne for pretty much the whole month of February working on the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Yeah, I know - Sochi, but from Melbourne. Hmmm... Well, I was working for Channel Ten (I'm an editor/director/vfx artist too) doing all of the music pieces you might see going to the commercial breaks etc. Aaaaanyway, a lovely friend I met down here - Sharon, insisted on taking me to White Night - an all night light festival similar to Sydney's Vivid festival.
