Jason & Adriana Pier One Sydney

Weddings

I’d been excited for Jason & Adriana’s big day for a good while leading up to their big day… at none other than the prestigious Pier One in Sydney.  If you’re not familiar – it’s basically right next to the motherflippin’ SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE…  With The Rocks, Circular Quay, Walsh Bay, and the Botanic Gardens all at our doorstep, we were absolutely spoilt for choice as to where to shoot what.  And sure enough, my favourite part of Sydney didn’t disappoint.
But as usual – the best part about the day wasn’t the locations or the amazing venue.  It was the people.  It’s always the people.  Jason & Adriana are properly loved up – and they had such an awesome day.  A great family, awesome guests and a brilliant day.  Not to mention some excellent, genuine reactions from Adriana which TOTALLY made some of the shots we took that day my all-time favourites!

Enjoy! 🙂

Ashley & Rheannon Mittagong Wedding
Tears. Every wedding has them. Usually it's Dad when he sees his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress, other times it's the vows, and often it's the hilarious best man speeches at the reception (I'm talking crying from laughter too...)  But with every wedding, at some stage, you can pretty much guarantee there'll be tears.  And that's what I love about this gig - the beautiful raw outpouring of emotion. When Rheannon, a brilliant wedding florist from Coogee got in touch with me, (rlfd.com.au if you're looking for an amazing, passionate florist!)  and said "Tim, I'm going all out, it's gonna be EPIC", I knew this could well be ...

Ash & Rheannon Engagement Session
Let me tell you about Ash & Rhe. Ash, a mild-mannered tradie from the UK, and Rhe, a gorgeous, bubbly florist from Coogee.  I met Rheannon through a previous wedding she did the flowers for.  As it turns out, I work with two of her brothers at Channel 9 - all completely by coincidence. (it's a small world folks!)  Knowing how awesome her brothers are already - shooting her wedding is gonna be a blast.  A higher quality collection of human beings, you won't find. Rhe called me up to book her wedding for December this year, and started by saying she's going *all out* for the floral aspect of her big day. It's fair to say I'm absolutely pu ...

Kayleigh & Sean Hunter Valley
What a great day.  Sean & Kayleigh chose the beautiful Hunter Valley for their day, and this was my first time shooting in vineyards - something surprisingly, I hadn't had the chance to do.  After a spate of rainy weddings, I was definitely ready for some sunshine! Sean & Kayleigh's day was a little different to most - the ceremony was a small, intimate affair - only closest friends and family.  The twist - the reception later was actually disguised as their engagement party.  Genius.
