Chris & Amy Pier One Sydney

Weddings

I got the callout to shoot Chris & Amy’s beautiful wedding not long before our move to Brisbane. Unfortunately we didn’t really get a chance to catch up for beer/coffee before the big day – which goes against my standard operating procedure big time.
It’s just such a personal thing, wedding photography. You’re there for all the important moments – usually almost always one of the first to see you in your dress, hanging out with your closest friends, you seeing your Dad for the first time (which always ends in tears!) and you’re basically with the bridal party the whole day.

This wasn’t a drama with Amy & Chris – two of the nicest kids you’ll ever meet – and of course we clicked straight away.

A beautiful day in one of my favourite wedding venues in Sydneytown.

Big shoutout to my second photographer, Oscar Colman Photography.

Ash & Rheannon Engagement Session
Let me tell you about Ash & Rhe. Ash, a mild-mannered tradie from the UK, and Rhe, a gorgeous, bubbly florist from Coogee.  I met Rheannon through a previous wedding she did the flowers for.  As it turns out, I work with two of her brothers at Channel 9 - all completely by coincidence. (it's a small world folks!)  Knowing how awesome her brothers are already - shooting her wedding is gonna be a blast.  A higher quality collection of human beings, you won't find. Rhe called me up to book her wedding for December this year, and started by saying she's going *all out* for the floral aspect of her big day. It's fair to say I'm absolutely pu ...

Boshko & Eloise Wedding
I think I may have eluded to it before, but Eloise is a favourite human being of mine. We worked together at Channel 9 years ago, and I did my first ever fashiony/portraity shoot with her down in Pyrmont. She's legend status. So, when she signed me on to shoot her big day, I knew it was gonna be epic. We shot Eloise & Boshko's engagement shoot at Newmarket Stables in Randwick, to be the venue of the wedding. Back then it was in horse stable mode, still beautiful - but in a rustic, hay bale kinda way. And sure enough on the day, the place was transformed. Think Dumbledore, just without the floating candles. We were against the weather a ...
