Sal’s Girls. Family.

Desire Family Portrait

One lesson I’ve learnt over the last year as a single Dad, it really is all about the kids: one way or another, they define you.  They bring you so many emotions, teach you things about yourself you never would’ve had the chance to learn.  And, they also bring you a feeling of pride that you would never have imagined even in your wildest dreams.

My friend Sally know’s the feeling.  You can see it in her eyes. 🙂

Eloise.
A little while ago, I put a call out to try my hand at a shoot with a model. Got a message from a girl who was keen, but for one reason or another, had to cancel at the eleventh hour. My awesome friend Eloise from work offered to come out and assist me on the shoot. When the actual model cancelled, I asked Eloise if she'd ever thought of having a crack at modelling herself.  Her reply was a pretty bashful but polite "I'll have a think about it", to which she replied a few days later, "yeah, ok... What do I do?!?!" A day or so later... This happened. :) Big thanks to my friend Jdub for the assist on the day! x

Joe & Anastasia…
So the other day, I had the pleasure of another afternoon of fashion shooting with Crashing Red down at Balmoral Beach in Sydney. It's becoming customary for a quick game of tip at the end with Joseph & Anastasia.  This I love.

Eloise & Boshko Engagement Session
You'll love these two. I've known Eloise for ages through working at Channel 9, where we've become good friends.  We've shot together before too, so as you'll see, she's no slouch in front of the camera. (search the fashion category...) When I caught up with these guys, we decided to head out to The Stables in Randwick. SUCH a beautiful spot - they've booked it for their wedding reception in March. It's SO romantic. And these guys will bring the romance as you'll see below...!
